Unifying Legacy

< 1 min read

Definition #

The Perspective discipline of knowing the story a building is telling — whether written deliberately or assembled by accumulation — and deciding whether it is the story the operator intends.

Family #

Canon. Perspective fundamental. Section 1.ST.8.

Why Behind the Thinking #

Every building has a story; the operator either wrote it or it wrote itself. A story that wrote itself is assembled from the habits of whoever came before and the culture that formed in the absence of a designed one — the cast absorbed it without knowing, the Guests feel it without being able to name it. A designed story requires the operator to decide what the building stands for, what it is responsible for producing, and what the cast contributes to when they show up — decisions that are communicated, reinforced, and protected under pressure until the story becomes architecture that transmits itself ([perspective_recompiled_07.08.2026.txt]).
