Why Behind the Thinking #
The same plate, same cast, same standard, received through a positive attitude produces a positive perception; received through a damaged attitude produces a neutral or negative one. Because *Temporal Discounting* makes attitudes slow-forming and slow-moving, an operator whose instruments only report behaviors (covers, frequency, comp expense) is reading the lagging end of a cycle that started weeks earlier — the attitude that will produce next month’s churn is already formed before the P&L reports it. Reading attitudes as leading indicators, managing expectations before the experience, and treating expectation management as experience design are the three Perspective disciplines for reading the cycle ([perspective_recompiled_07.08.2026.txt]).
