Definition #
The instruction set every cast member reads and complies with in a given building — what gets measured, rewarded, celebrated, ignored, corrected, or let go — running whether or not the operator built it deliberately.
Family #
Perspective principle. Reframes cast behavior as a downstream product of environment rather than an independent variable.
Why Behind the Thinking #
The cast is not the problem — the environment is. Every cast member is complying with the environment the operator gave them, whether inherited from a prior operator or built without examination, and the environment produces exactly the behavior the operator is getting. Naming [Environment As Default] shifts the diagnostic question from “what’s wrong with my cast?” to “what instruction set am I running, and did I design it or inherit it?”
