Definition #

Every Read in this book — the operator’s, the lead’s, the trainer’s, the cast member’s, the Guest’s — is built from the totality of input available to the reader, not from a finite or predefined input set. Every interaction, observation, conversation, question, silence, recovery, miss, and absence feeds it.

Why Behind the Thinking #

Multiple people running Reads on the same operation produce multiple simultaneous Reads, not one shared Read by default. Jeffrey, verbatim: “how are those 3 sep reads?” / “there are multiple reads by multiple people” / “All Reads Feed The Read” / “its a convergence only if they are shared.” Convergence between reads is not automatic — it only happens if the separate reads are actively shared between readers. A reader sourcing their Read from a finite checklist is not running the Read — they’re running an evaluation. Evaluations have boundaries; Reads don’t.
