The Fundamental That Ain’t

< 1 min read

Definition #

A fundamental severed from its scaffolding. It uses the vocabulary of a fundamental in a meeting but fails in operation — the structure that made it work is absent.

Why Behind the Thinking #

The failure is not disbelief — it’s structural absence. The operator uses the vocabulary of a fundamental convincingly enough to pass in a meeting, but the scaffolding underneath that made the fundamental actually work in operation was never built or has eroded. The vocabulary survives; the structure doesn’t. The operator is not failing to believe in fundamentals — the operator is holding a fundamental that ain’t.
